I’ve written to you about one of our newest cases, but I want to make sure you have all the details because it is incredibly important that you understand the overt overreach that’s happening in this small town in Pennsylvania.

Before I get into that, I want to say thank you.

Freedom of Speech Case -- Bliler v.Olyphant Borough

John, we filed this case to stop local government officials from censoring, restricting, and shutting down speech they don’t like.

Let me quickly give you the details.

Dave Bliler, a Marine Corps veteran, believes we each have the freedom, and the duty, to criticize the government as we see fit.

This is a core American value and how the Founding Fathers expected us to shut down tyrants. Thousands have died to protect this freedom.

But when Mr. Bliler put a sign on his front porch criticizing the government, within days he received a notice from Olyphant Borough officials threatening sky high fines if he didn’t take it down.

Here’s the sign. And whether you agree with his choice of words, I’m sure you can agree with his right to say it.

And listen to this...

Mr. Bliler is surrounded by neighbors who ALSO have signs in front of their homes. The government only targeted Mr. Bliler’s speech.

The Blilers are taking the Borough to court because the government cannot restrict speech just because it disagrees with it!

This is a blatant form of viewpoint discrimination and it is 100% unconstitutional.
