A few weeks ago, former Congresswoman Liz Cheney tweeted a link to a statement written by Elise Stefanik in the immediate aftermath of the January 6, 2021 attack on our Capitol.

We thought we’d read it for ourselves, but when you click the link, this is what you see:

Now that Stefanik is on Donald Trump’s shortlist for Vice President, she can’t risk the MAGA base seeing evidence of one of the only honest moments of her political career — where she rightly called the events of January 6th “tragic” and “un-American.” So what did she do? She deleted the statement.

Team, Stefanik has spent years denying that the events of January 6th happened and providing cover to insurrectionists, just recently calling those criminally convicted for their role in the violent assault on the Capitol “hostages.”

Stefanik will go to any length to keep the MAGA base in her corner and continue growing her massive war chest to fund extremist candidates like Pat’s opponent, Alison Esposito. Just this week, Esposito reported having received upwards of $35,000 from Elise Stefanik’s political machine.
