Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch to hold media availability Tuesday with parent of a medically complex child

*STATEHOUSE (Feb. 5, 2024) ??*In an attempt to address a $1 billion shortfall in its Medicaid budget, the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) [ [link removed] ] proposed cuts to the Attendant Care program, which provides funding to parents and legal guardians who care for their medically complex children.

Last week, in response, Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch [ [link removed] ], Chair of the Indiana Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Task Force [ [link removed] ], called for a pause in the proposed cuts until Hoosiers can be confident these children continue getting the care they need.?

Lt. Gov. Crouch will be holding a media availability in her Statehouse office with? a parent of a medically complex child who will be directly impacted by these cuts. Kim Dodson, CEO of The Arc of Indiana [ [link removed] ], a nonprofit that ?promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be available for questions after the media availability.?
