The media doesn’t know what to think, and neither do voters. John, It’s safe to say that Americans have endured A LOT over the past 4 years: The onslaught and fallout of a global pandemic that has claimed over 1 million lives in our country alone. A former president who has shown utter disdain for the Constitution and our democracy. An attempted coup that resulted in a violent and deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol. A turbulent economy, rising (and falling) inflation, and a progressive economic movement that has produced some massive gains for unions and higher wages for working people. We’ve been through a lot, and it can be hard to understand what is happening with our economy. Job gains are higher month to month under President Biden than any other modern president. Prices for common goods and services have steadily come down, but they remain high for many people. Polls show that most voters don’t know what to think about the economy, and that many don’t feel very optimistic about where things are or where they think the country is headed. But I believe there is a ton of opportunity here for Democrats to talk about the progress we’ve made, directly confront the challenges, and present real policies and real solutions to them. Even though we’ve made some incredible strides since the pandemic, there is still a huge opportunity for Democrats to run—and win—on the top issue for most voters: the economy. I will fight for a fair system that leaves no workers behind, and a Congress that will finally stop rewarding bad corporate behavior and white collar corruption with endless tax breaks and loopholes. But we can’t rely on the media to get it right: we need to take these arguments straight to the voters. That’s why I need your help to raise the resources to talk to voters about our vision for a better, more fair system. Can you chip in $10 or more today to help me flip this district, and the House, by winning over the working class voters of Ohio?
