Last week, the Illinois elections board allowed Donald Trump to stay on the ballot in his race for president.
Let’s be clear: We know that Joe Biden will win Illinois on Election Day – but many of Trump’s MAGA candidates are still running down the ballot in this state, and that should scare you.
Trump’s rhetoric inspires MAGA extremists to take more extreme stances and push more far-right policy. We know that county races can be won or lost by a handful of votes, and we also know that Trump’s mere presence on the ballot encourages his cult to show up – and vote Republican all the way down the ballot.
