Anti-gunners are pushing for a “PERMANENT REAUTHORIZATION” of…

<[link removed]>

John,

We have an emergency on our hands.

With the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 (UFA) set to expire soon,
anti-gunners in Congress are pushing for itsPERMANENT REAUTHORIZATION.

The UFA bans the manufacture, sale, or import of any firearm that a metal
detector cannot detect.

But, as we all know, federal bureaucrats will always find a way to use
existing gun laws on the books to further infringe upon our rights.

And in this case, the Biden Administration has shown a willingness to
weaponize the Undetectable Firearms Act in order to enact a widespread ban on
firearms that contain plastic parts.

That’s why we must pressure Congress to STOP the reauthorization of this law –
and let it expireentirely.

Thankfully, 74 Republican members of Congress have signed a GOA-backed letter
written by Reps. Thomas Massie and Andy Ogles to Speaker Mike Johnson demanding
that he oppose the permanent reauthorization of this unconstitutional gun ban.

But now, the anti-gun lobby is coming out in full force, attempting to
pressure weak-kneed Republicans and some allegedly pro-gun Democrats into
reauthorizing this anachronistic gun ban.

In fact, Chuck Schumer has already been blasting the airwaves with downright
lies about the UFA, claiming that it fights crime. But the truth is: no
criminal has EVER been charged under the UFA. But itcan be used to ban guns and
infringe upon the rights of law-abiding citizens.

That’s why we’re asking YOU to counter the lies of the anti-gun lobby by
urging your Representative and two Senators to STOP the reauthorization of this
anachronistic gun ban that will certainly be abused by the Biden Administration
to attack our rights.

To maximize the efficacy of our grassroots outreach to Congress, we have
drafted different letters to Democrats, weak-kneed Republicans, and the 74
Republicans who have already signed their name to the Massie-Ogles letter.

(Upon entering your address, our system will automatically detect which
specific letter your Representative needs to receive.)

If you have any doubt that your letter will make a difference, I want to tell
you something important…

Just a few weeks ago, Reps. Thomas Massie and Andy Ogles’ letter calling for
Speaker Johnson to REJECT a permanent reauthorization of the UFA only had 36
co-signers in the House of Representatives.

But after GOA members like YOU bombarded their representatives’ offices, the
number of cosigners DOUBLED to 72!

In fact, the last time that the UFA was up for reauthorization – in 2013 –
Rep. Massie was the LONE voice in the entire House of Representatives shouting
“nay.”

He didn’t even have a fifth of a quorum there to back him – which is what is
required to demand a recorded vote.

But this time, thanks to GOA activists like YOU, Rep. Massie has 73 members
backing his cause to throw this unconstitutional gun ban to the ash heap of
history.

Now that Chuck Schumer and the hysterical voices of the anti-gun lobby are
trying to get the attention of the remaining members of the House of
Representatives, it’s time for us to turn up the heat on Congress and ensure
that they hear from the single most powerful voice in the nation – grassroots
VOTERS like you.

Please add your name to our pre-written letter urging your Representative and
two Senators to stop the reauthorization of the Undetectable Firearms Act of
1988. <[link removed]>
