For too long, wealthy Wall Street money managers have been using woke DEI strategies, called Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), to steer the retirement investments of Missourians into Wall Street’s preferred progressive causes, rather than funds that create the best return for retirees and investors.

As Secretary of State, I oversee the Missouri securities industry and I created a new rule that requires these Wall Street bankers to tell their customers when they choose wokeness over their customers’ best interest.

Wall Street sued to stop me.

Last week, Jefferson City Democrats hauled me before the legislature to attack my efforts on behalf of Missouri’s retirees and investors.

But I have news for Jefferson City Democrats and Wall Street bankers: I’m just getting started.

As Governor, I will eliminate ESG from all State investment funds, and I will fight DEI in our schools and universities. These political agendas do not belong in our government or our schools!
