John,
After months of negotiations and public posturing, the Senate’s proposed legislation that provides funding for Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel in exchange for a variety of changes to immigration law and border policy is out.
Some of the most significant changes include creating a “trigger” policy that would allow current and future administrations to resume expulsions at the border. The bill also creates a new, curtailed process for asylum seekers that has virtually no judicial oversight.
Additionally, the bill includes things like the long fought-for Afghan Adjustment Act, new pathways for faster work authorization, and more visas.
Join us on Tuesday, February 6 at 2 ET p.m. for a webinar breaking down this bill, which the Senate plans to put to a vote on Wednesday. [[link removed]]

American Immigration Council experts will discuss the bill’s contents and answer questions like:
*
What
else
is
in
the
bill?

*
What
are
the
politics
around
it,
and
what’s
the
likelihood
of
it
passing?

*
How
would
it
impact
immigrant
rights,
including
the
right
to
seek
asylum?
We hope to see you tomorrow, February 6. [[link removed]]
