Transgender youth in Ohio and surrounding states urgently need our help, John.

A few weeks ago, lawmakers voted to override Republican Governor Mike DeWine's veto of HB68, which would restrict affirming medical care for young transgender people.

The bill will have a ripple effect all across the region – many families from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee are currently accessing care in Ohio, and once the bill takes effect, they'll lose access – as well any young person in Ohio who ages into care.

While our Southern Trans Youth Emergency Project (STYEP) has primarily operated in the South, we're big believers in helping our neighbors – and that means reaching across regions to support trans youth when they need us most, wherever they live. So we're joining in solidarity with partner organizations in Ohio to ensure STYEP can help families impacted by this new ban.

Can you help us kick off our expansion into Ohio with a donation of $25 or more to support transgender youth who will soon lose access to their medical care in Ohio?

We know families across Ohio and in surrounding states are terrified of what this new law might mean for them. This is our chance to show them that they aren't alone – that Southerners have their backs.

CSE learned how to support families facing bans on gender-affirming medical care in state after state across the South. Now, we're committing to sharing our experience with other states who need it. We're ready to show Ohioans what Southern hospitality is all about.

Through STYEP, we provide patient navigation services for families – 1-on-1 custom conversations about their unique situations to identify a new medical provider, often out of state. We also provide grants of $500 to pay for the increased costs of accessing this care.

Pitch in now to mark the expansion of the Southern Trans Youth Emergency Project into Ohio – and help transgender youth and their families access the life-saving medical care and resources they need.

An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. Thanks for helping us show Ohio families that Southerners will be there when they need us.
