Dear Health Advocates,
Happy Black History Month! We at Families USA are taking intentional time this month to recognize Black and African-Americans' contributions to our nation's healthcare system and advances within it. We are also continuing to focus on health equity and lifting up voices within the black community.
We are now just a month away from another funding deadline in Congress. The short-term CR passed in January will run out on March 1 and March 8, respectively. That means we need to continue putting pressure on Congress to include site neutral policies in the new funding bill. We encourage you to keep using the tool below to tell your Senator to vote YES on Lower Cost, More Transparency over the next several weeks.
We also released a few testimonies from our Director of Policy, Sophia Tripoli, on hospital pricing in NJ and unaffordable pricing for consumers in front of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. You can find more on these opportunities below, as well as this week’s new resources: |
