Happy February! January is behind us, annual planning meetings are in the books, and love is in the air as the store aisles turn pink with candy and cards. This month we have more opportunities to meet your fellow Dems, and some great chances to hear from local leadership and learn some history as we enter Black History Month.

Also how do we feel about the chalky candy hearts? I personally love them, so I got you some! 💕

Speaking of love, I'm excited to invite you to our "For the Love of Democracy Happy Hour" on February 15th at [TBD]! Come meet other young Dems seeking company (in their activism!) who enjoy long walks on the beach (for canvassing!) - hope to see you there!

Ready to make things a little more official? There is still time apply to be a caucus chair! This is a great chance to have an impact on our platform, and we we'd love to have you whether you just joined or have been here for years - check the link for more info.

Feel The Heritage Festival (Event Page)

The 2024 Feel the Heritage Festival will be held on Sat., Feb. 24, noon-5 p.m. at Charles Drew Community Center. The festival welcomes hundreds each year to learn about the Arlington’s historically African-American neighborhoods while enjoying live entertainment, delicious food and dozens of vendors. Held for the past 29 years, the festival is organized by Arlington County with terrific support from the community. The event is free and includes a full afternoon of engaging programming for guests of all ages. If you're coming, please RSVP here (not required, but helps them know how many to expect).
