Congress is preparing to vote on a massive stimulus package to help deal with COVID-19. Negotiations over the bill are happening right now. Trump and Senate Republicans want to funnel billions of dollars to their billionaire cronies, including oil and gas companies.

Congress must put the health and survival of families and workers first, rather than bailout Trump’s cronies in Big Oil.

Can you take critical action THIS MORNING to urge Congress to support #PeopleNotPolluters?

This morning, Tuesday, March 24th, let’s flood social media with messages calling on Congress to support #PeopleNotPolluters.

Please take the following actions starting at 10AM this morning:

1. Post a photo, video, or comment on social media urging #PeopleNotPolluters and don’t forget to “@YourRepresentative” (Sample posts below). You can look up who is your US Representative and US Senator here.

2. Call your U.S. House representative and your U.S. Senators right away: urge them to reject corporate bailouts, including any bailout for fossil fuel corporations. Urge them to support #PeopleNotPolluters.

Even before the COVID-19 outbreak, and an oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia, oil and gas corporations were in financial trouble due to their own bad business decisions. The billionaire CEOs orchestrating the destruction of the planet don’t deserve even more government subsidies, especially when our communities are hurting.

Workers need to be protected, families need healthcare and economic security. Make that clear to your Congressperson now!
