Share Feedback on Priority Measures for Michigan?s Priority Climate Action Plan

Submit feedback by February 16

As a part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency?s (EPA) Climate Pollution Reduction Grants [ [link removed] ] (CPRG) program, Michigan must submit the state?s Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) by March 1, 2024. The Office of Climate and Energy drafted a list of priority measures to include in Michigan?s PCAP, which can be accessed on our webpage under ?Draft Priority Climate Action Plan Priority Measures [ [link removed] ]?.

These measures build from Michigan?s MI Healthy Climate Plan [ [link removed] ], the state?s strategy for reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 and reducing emissions by 50-52% relative 2005 by 2030.

Would you like to provide feedback?

* Review the measures in the draft Priority Climate Action Plan ? Priority Measures, found on our webpage under ?Draft Priority Climate Action Plan Priority Measures [ [link removed] ]?.
* Provide feedback by filling out the Feedback Form [ [link removed] ] by *February 16*.

Submission of feedback on a priority measure does not ensure inclusion in the PCAP. However, feedback on priority projects or measures will be considered as a part of the broader state effort to implement the MI Healthy Climate Plan.

For the EPA?s CPRG Implementation Grants General Competition [ [link removed] ], eligible applicants are required to have their projects represented in an applicable PCAP to apply. Inclusion of measures in the PCAP is not a commitment by the State of Michigan to submit a CPRG implementation grant application to implement the measure.?

About the CPRG*

The EPA program provides states, local governments, and tribal nations flexible resources to plan for and pursue ambitious greenhouse gas pollution reductions to achieve three broad objectives:

* Tackle damaging climate pollution while supporting the creation of good jobs and lowering energy costs for families.
* Accelerate work to address environmental injustices and empower community-driven solutions in overburdened neighborhoods.
* Deliver cleaner air by reducing harmful pollution in places where people live, work, play, and go to school.
