Dear John,
I'm writing today with exciting news: I’m running for Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts and Comptroller.
Our Clerk serves a vital role in our county government, ensuring that transparency, accountability, and accessibility in our justice system is strong. And now, with the addition of Comptroller, I will be laser-focused on protecting our residents’ tax dollars and committed to being a steward of our $11.7 billion budget.
We need public servants who will put our county residents first instead of special interests and political agendas. That’s why I’m running!
As a State Senator, I stepped up to cut through partisan noise and deliver for residents. From ensuring Miami-Dade residents could access benefits during the pandemic to fighting fraud in the Hammocks, I’ve delivered for our community and gained respect across the aisle and a reputation as a stalwart against Tallahassee's constant attack on Miami-Dade’s home rule.
As Clerk of Courts and Comptroller, I’m committed to continuing the legacy of the late Harvey Ruvin, who served as our County Clerk with honor and integrity for three decades.
As the daughter of an American World War II and Korean War fighter pilot serving our country and defending our democracy, I learned the values of public service and resilience from an early age. When my father was kidnapped by FARC guerillas in Colombia, I moved to the U.S., where I paid my way through college and built a successful small business.
After years of service and involvement in our community, I hope I can count on your support. Please click here to visit our website, learn more, and support our campaign today!
Yours in the fight,
Annette
