The ACLU is calling on Florida officials to uphold our right to free speech and rescind an order to deactivate public university chapters of the Students for Justice in Palestine.

But our work doesn't stop in Florida. Right now, federal lawmakers are considering legislation that could limit First Amendment protections in public colleges and universities – a threat we can't afford to let slide.

The ACLU is urging federal lawmakers to protect our colleges from censorship and vote against bills that threaten students' right to free speech. Students have the right to express their political opinions and advocate for the causes they believe in. Full stop.
