The Washington Stand has obtained a copy of a letter House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is preparing to send to his colleagues. It reads, in part, "Next week, we will take up and pass a clean, standalone Israel supplemental package." The letter continues, "During debate in the House and in numerous subsequent statements, Democrats made clear that their primary objection to the original House bill was with its offsets. The Senate will no longer have excuses, however misguided, against swift passage of this critical support for our ally." In the letter, Johnson declares, "Given the Senate's failure to move appropriate legislation in a timely fashion, and the perilous circumstances currently facing Israel, the House will continue to lead." |

GOP Moves to Protect American Women in Olympic Sports |
by Sarah Holliday |
Lately, all evidence points to male athletes pretending to be women dominating women in competitions, from golf to boxing. It's no wonder since, as experts have pointed out, men have distinct physical advantages over women. In many cases, women who train day-in and day-out don't stand a chance at winning against the six-foot, muscular male competitor. To level the playing field, Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) and Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.) "will introduce a bicameral bill that would block biological men from participating in any U.S. Olympic Committee event intended for women," Fox News reported Thursday. |

Do you ever marvel that God would save a sinner like you? His character is so righteous, and ours is so twisted. His plans are so good, and ours are so self-serving. His holiness is so pure, and our lives are so messy. Nevertheless, God graciously revealed to us his sovereign plan of redemption in Jesus Christ, he has also unveiled the mystery of his sovereign counsels through his Word, so that we might silence our doubts "in full assurance of faith" (Hebrews 10:22). |

Christian, Do Not Respond to Hardship the Way the World Does. Pray and Let God Work in You and Others. |
by Sarah Holliday |
To be a follower of Christ in a world that rebels against Him daily is no simple undertaking. Although, the life of a believer is the most rewarding, purposeful, joyful, and amazing life one could live. To live in service of the Lord Almighty is to live in hope of an eternity with Him in paradise. But additionally, to live for Him is what makes this otherwise mundane, dark, and harsh reality of earthly living not merely bearable, but enjoyable. A life lived for Christ is the only true life, indeed. |
