Begin a law enforcement career with Nebraska Game and Parks
If you've ever dreamed of becoming a conservation officer, now is your chance! Nebraska Game and Parks is hiring for numerous positions throughout the state, including a couple positions for the 217th Basic Academy starting April 28.
What do conservation officers do? Conservation officers have the very important job of protecting our natural resources and helping keep people who use our state parks and other public lands safe through the enforcement of fish, wildlife, boating and park laws. They also conduct a variety of education and wildlife management duties.
A few other things to know:
- We sponsor uncertified applicants in the basic law enforcement academy; all equipment and tuition is paid for.
- We expect to fill positions near Ogallala, Chadron, Burwell, Alliance, Beatrice, Weeping Water, Bassett, Arapaho and Sidney. These locations will be filled on a priority basis and are subject to change.
