Hi ,

(Lea este boletín de noticias en español) (한국어로 된 뉴스레터는 여기서 확인해주세요)

The City is working around the clock and has all hands on deck to keep Angelenos safe. This storm is a severe weather event, with powerful winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Out of an abundance of caution, the City issued an evacuation order this morning for residents along a portion of La Tuna Canyon Road because of the increased risk of significant flooding, mudslides, and sediment flow due to the burn scars left by the 2022 Land Fire.

If you are in this area and have not yet done so, please evacuate immediately.

The City’s Emergency Operations Center is activated at Level 2 and is coordinating across departments. We continue to work closely with our local partners at the County, State and Federal level.
We remain prepared and we urge Angelenos to do their part.

Please, get home and stay home and off the roads.
  • Stay informed: register for local alerts at NotifyLA.org and visit Emergency.LACity.gov for the latest updates.
  • Stay safe: keep devices charged and have emergency supplies and medications on hand.
  • Request City services as needed: for flooded roads, fallen branches, flooded gutters and the like, contact 311 – by phone, on the web or download the MY311 app – we have extended 311 hours for this storm.
  • Report power outages or water main breaks: call the Department of Water and Power at 1-800-DIAL-DWP
  • Call 911: Use 911 for life threatening emergencies only

For the past week, my Office of Housing and Homelessness Solutions has intensified outreach to people experiencing homelessness along the Los Angeles River and in high flood risk areas.

Angelenos in need of shelter can call 211 for transportation to available shelters.

We are expecting the worst of this storm to affect our region tonight and will continue to provide updates as needed.
