John,
Nearly 40 students from campuses across the country arrived in Seattle this week to participate in ISI's Honors Program, exploring the principles of liberty through the lens of the question, "What is a nation?"
ISI's Honors Program is an academically rigorous yearlong experience designed to challenge top undergraduate students and equip them with an advanced understanding of the values that undergird a free society.
During the school year, Honors Scholars continue their studies under the tutelage of an ISI mentor professor and attend weekend seminars that allow for a deep discussion of ideas.
Graduates of ISI's Honors Program flourish in many fields, with alumni going on to teach at Ivy League universities; work in the White House, on Capitol Hill, and in state capitols; write acclaimed books; and become leaders in the media, business, law, and many other fields.
As one former Honors Scholar put it, "ISI gave me an education that even Harvard couldn't."
The 40 students in this year's class represent a new generation of leaders who understand the ideas and values that make America free and prosperous, and are committed to upholding them.
As these scholars become tomorrow's principled leaders, I'm confident they will have an outsized impact throughout their careers just like previous generations of ISI alumni have!
Think. Live Free,
