So now, I’m reaching out personally to welcome you to Future Coalition and share a little bit about how we got here.

Future Coalition stands out as a beacon of hope and change, firmly believing in the power of young activists, organizers, and leaders to shape a better world.

Born from March On, our mission is not just to support, but to accelerate the impact of young people in social justice work through funding, incubating, connecting, knowledge-sharing, and amplifying their efforts. We recognize the potential in young people and invest in their growth and leadership, knowing they are the key architects of the change we seek. This commitment is not just theoretical; it’s embedded in every aspect of our work.

As I reflect on my journey since starting as Executive Director last March, I am filled with immense gratitude and inspiration. Being part of this vibrant and forward-thinking organization has been a transformative experience.

Last summer, I was honored to lead our organization through its first all-staff strategic planning retreat. This experience was not only a milestone for us but also a testament to the power of collective visioning. Together, we carved out an organizational mission, vision, values, and principles that truly reflect the world we aspire to create — a world centered on equity for those most marginalized by current systems of oppression, and a movement led by youth.

As we look ahead, I am filled with optimism. The journey is long, and the challenges are many, but together, we are making strides towards a world that reflects our highest ideals.
