Dear Friends,
The campaign to remove David Schweikert continues to be a successful one.
The last few months have been a whirlwind of activity as I continue to
attend every event possible, connecting with as many members of our
community as I can. From canvassing for Dr. Laura Metcalfe, Tim Stringham,
Richard Corles, Laura Terech, Christine Marsh, Judy Schwiebert, and
Stephanie Simacek to attending other events that are non political in
nature. Each event continues to be incredibly valuable.
We're proud to announce that our petition has garnered 4,100 signatures as
of today. The Arizona Secretary of State says we need 1,496 signatures to
meet the requirement. Thanks to your immense support we are doing fantastic
and have a current goal of 5,000 by the end of March.
One highlight from the past week was our presence at Scottsdale's Parada
Del Sol. We set up a booth and I spent six hours meeting with residents.
Discussing our vision for the community and listening to their concerns.
Despite getting a little sunburned, the experience was rewarding as we met
an incredible number of supportive families who share our passion for
positive change. Also being out in my Hometown means randomly running into
friends from high school and even my former teachers!
One initiative that has garnered significant traction is our postcard
campaign. Thanks to the support of dedicated volunteers like you, we've
seen tremendous success. Yesterday at the Parade many people came up to
introduce themselves to me, they had received a postcard and wanted to meet
me in person. Over 38 individuals have graciously offered to send postcards
on our behalf, resulting in hundreds of heartfelt messages reaching our
fellow community members. The impact of these postcards cannot be
overstated; they serve as a tangible expression of our shared values and
aspirations, fostering meaningful connections within our community.
On a personal note, I'm incredibly proud to share that today marks the
final performance of "Seussical the Musical" in Cave Creek, featuring
Eleanor. The Desert Desert Foothills Theater production did 6 shows over
the last 4 days. It was amazing, at the same time exhausting for Eleanor to
add onto her normal School activities and her mother and I with rehearsals
the final week ending at 7:30pm.
As we continue the campaign journey together, it's essential to continue
addressing the core issues that matter most to our community. Education,
Gun safety, and women's rights are not just talking points; they are deeply
ingrained values that drive my dedication to enacting positive change.
In the spirit of collective action, I invite you to join us in furthering
our campaign efforts through various volunteer opportunities:
*Postcard Campaign:* Join us for a postcard party! Together, we can craft
personalized messages to friends and neighbors, amplifying our campaign's
message in a meaningful and impactful way.
*Social Media Engagement*: Are you passionate about social media? Your
support in sharing our campaign's message online can help us reach a
broader audience and foster community engagement.
*Door-to-Door Canvassing:* For those who prefer face-to-face interactions,
door-to-door canvassing provides an excellent opportunity to directly
engage with voters in our district.
*Phone Banking:* Join our phone banking team to connect with voters and
address any concerns they may have, one conversation at a time.
*Neighborhood Meet and Greet:* Host a neighborhood meet and greet to create
a space for community members to come together, share their thoughts, and
learn more about our campaign.
Your involvement is pivotal to the success of our campaign, and I encourage
you to choose the opportunity that resonates most with your interests and
comfort level. If you have other ideas or suggestions, please don't
hesitate to reach out – your input is invaluable.
As we embark on another busy month, let's remember that *together*, we can
create meaningful change that uplifts every resident of our district.
I am here for you. Call, email, or let's meet up in person. Your thoughts
and ideas are always welcome and deeply appreciated.
Thank you,
Andrew Horne
