![]() Friend: This is a longer email about why I’m running for Congress. It means the world to get to share my story with you and tell you why this campaign means so much to me, so I hope you’ll give it a read. If you already know you’re with me in our fight for Oregon, can you chip in to my campaign? I wouldn’t be where I am without my family. As the daughter of two teachers, my parents taught me that education is the cornerstone of a better and safer world. That’s why I turned this idea into action by working to earn scholarships and put myself through school. While in school, my grandparents, a police officer and a hotel maid, always reminded me that you don’t stop working hard until the job is done. That’s why my work has always been about reaching out and helping people get ahead. In the State Legislature, I’ve fought to reduce the burden of rising costs, safeguard reproductive rights, expand affordable housing, address homelessness in our community, and tackle the climate crisis. This is my story, friend. As the mother of four children and a small business owner, I work hard every day to deliver for my community, and I’ll never back down. It’s what my family taught me to do and I’m proud to continue their legacy every day. I’ve always tackled challenges head-on to secure a better future for Oregon families. That’s why when Lori Chavez-Deremer turned her back on our community to pursue a dangerous, extremist agenda, I knew I couldn’t sit on the sideline. Oregonians deserve a Congresswoman who will stand up for us, protect reproductive rights, strengthen our local economy, and deliver results for our families in Congress. That’s exactly why I’m in this race, friend. If you’re ready to help me build a better future for Oregon, will you donate to my campaign today?
Thank you for being in this with me. Janelle |
