Honoring A Congressional Award Winner

This week, I presented Truett Wolf—a student at Lake Norman High School—with his Bronze and Silver Congressional Award medals.

Truett has worked tirelessly to learn and grow through this program and it was a privilege to hear more about his volunteer work with The First Tee, his dedication to honing his chess skills, and his rigorous academic pursuits. I congratulate Truett on this achievement and look forward to following his continued success.

Congratulations to the Hickory Red Tornadoes on being selected as the Deer Park 3A Team of the Year in North Carolina. This honor caps a historic season for the State Champions. I am glad to see the students and coaches honored for their tremendous work.
