Martin Shkreli, otherwise known as the “Pharma Bro,” crafted a scheme to
stifle competition and make obscene profits off of Daraprim, a drug that
treats a common parasitic infection that could be deadly.

Rob and the California Department of Justice, along with a group of other
states, took him to court for putting profits over people, seeking to ban
him from working in the pharmaceutical industry for life.

We’re thrilled to share that last week, a U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed a
lower court’s decision to keep Shkreli out of the marketplace for good.

This is a big win for market competition, affordable access to healthcare,
and protecting people from bad actors like Shkreli.
