Dear John,

This is going to sound outrageous and unbelievable, but it's absolutely true.

While our nation reels from the greatest public health crisis in a generation, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is trying to take advantage of the coronavirus crisis to push her radical Socialist agenda through Congress.

Before I tell you more about the outrageous proposals, I know this is a difficult and unprecedented time for all of us. I am sure that you, like me, know someone who has the virus or has lost their job.

Please know that I would not be writing to you and asking for your help under these circumstances unless it was absolutely necessary.

Sadly, instead of addressing the biggest healthcare and economic crisis in a century, Speaker Pelosi responded by introducing the worst Big Government bill in history.

The litany of expensive and unnecessary provisions in her bill so numerous that it is impossible to list them all here. Shockingly, most of them have them have absolutely nothing to do with the coronavirus response itself, including:
* *$65 billion *to bail out union pension funds, a massive giveaway to the Democrats' largest group of campaign donors;


* *$15 billion* for community development block grants, five times the amount provided annually for the program;


* *$2 billion *for the Economic Development Administration, nearly eight times the annual budget for the agency, which President Trump wants to eliminate;


* *$600 million *for the National Endowment for the Arts and Humanities; and


* many proposals lifted directly from the *Green New Deal*, like tax credits for solar panels.

To put it frankly, Speaker Pelosi's attempt to restructure the government, rather than help save America lives from the coronavirus crisis, is the most revolting display of partisanship I have ever seen.

It is not an exaggeration to say she is endangering lives every second she refuses to reach an agreement on a targeted and temporary spending bill that addresses what truly needs to be done for the American people.
