John,
The UN’s International Court of Justice just ruled that Israel’s government is plausibly committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
In announcing their ruling, judges quoted statements from Israel’s own political leaders indicating clear genocidal intent to “eliminate” and “erase” Palestinians.
The Court ordered Israel’s government to immediately prevent genocide and stop the killing. As signers of the Genocide Convention, the U.S. is also legally obligated to prevent genocide, so this ruling puts U.S. leaders on notice.
Sign now to President Biden: Comply with the International Court of Justice’s ruling by facilitating an immediate ceasefire and suspending military assistance to the Israeli government.
With U.S. diplomatic and financial support, as well as U.S. weapons, Israel’s government has displaced 2 million Palestinians and killed more than 27,000, including at least 10,000 children.
We must keep demanding an end to this destruction. We must keep affirming that Palestinians deserve to live and that Palestinian children deserve to grow old.
Last month, Israeli forces killed 17-year-old U.S. citizen Tawfiq in the West Bank. At his New Orleans funeral, his father spoke out against U.S. tax dollars going to the Israeli military, crying out: “How many fathers and mothers have to say goodbye to their children? How many more?”
U.S. leaders have leverage to stop this now, as primary funders of Israel’s military. Millions of lives still hang in the balance.
Add your name to tell President Biden: End U.S. complicity in this genocide. Stop funding and arming Israel’s military, and facilitate an immediate and lasting ceasefire.
Thank you for demanding action today.
In solidarity,
Rashida

John,
In response to the case brought by South Africa against Israel, the International Court of Justice just ruled that Israel’s government is plausibly committing genocide.
The Court ordered Israel’s government to act immediately to prevent further harm to the Palestinian people—and to stop “acts of genocide” such as killing Palestinians and “causing serious bodily or mental harm” to Palestinians.
This ruling also puts the U.S. government on notice for enabling violations of the Genocide Convention. As a signer of the Genocide Convention, the U.S. government is legally obligated to prevent genocide.
Sign to tell President Biden: To comply with the International Court of Justice’s ruling to prevent genocide, you must suspend all weapons transfers and military funding to Israel’s government. Stop enabling the genocide of Palestinians, and instead push for a ceasefire.
With U.S. support, the Israeli government has killed more than 27,000 Palestinians in Gaza, forcibly displacing 2 million people within the already-densely-packed Gaza strip.
President Biden has sent thousands of bombs to Israel’s military, while blocking international efforts to stop the violence and watering down attempts to secure sufficient humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, Israel’s government is still starving Palestinians in Gaza and depriving the trapped population of other basic needs for survival such as water, shelter, and medical assistance.
As the biggest funder of Israel’s military, U.S. government leaders have the power and the obligation to stop this unfolding genocide.
In addition to the order to prevent genocide, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) also ordered Israel to prevent and punish incitement to genocide, to immediately ensure “urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance” to Gaza, and to report back within a month to the court.
The only way to implement the Court’s orders is by facilitating a lasting ceasefire.
Please sign if you agree: The Biden administration must not only affirm the legitimacy of the ICJ’s ruling and facilitate an immediate ceasefire—it must comply with federal and international law by suspending military assistance to the Israeli government.
Let’s keep up the momentum and the pressure to end not only this genocide, but also the apartheid system that’s rooted in the racist dehumanization of Palestinians. Together, we’re demanding a world with equality and dignity for all people.
In solidarity,
Rashida
