Team,

Last month marked what should have been 51 years of reproductive freedom in our country. Fifty-one years since the U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision in Roe v. Wade that ensured all people have a foundational right to bodily autonomy, privacy, and safe, legal reproductive health care.

But instead of celebrating of this major milestone in the ongoing fight for equality, we spent the past month in righteous anger – anger at the post- Dobbs reality we live in, at the life-threatening hoops we’re now forced to jump through to access reproductive healthcare, and at the senseless deaths caused by extremist politicians and judges hell-bent on controlling women’s bodies.

I’m fed up and today I’m fighting back, with the help of Fair Shot PAC. Fuel our battle to secure our reproductive freedom by chipping in today >> [[link removed]]

There are a lot of reasons we find ourselves here – from Donald Trump nominating extreme SCOTUS justices while he was president to the state legislatures that have been chomping at the bit to rip away our rights at the very first opportunity.

And unfortunately my home state, Texas, is showing the country exactly where these extreme policies lead us. A recent decision by the Texas Supreme Court showed us just how meaningless the medical exception can be – the only exception available in the state.

Jimmy, John, and Jane.

(Really.)

Jimmy Blacklock, John Devine, and Jane Bland are three Texas Supreme Court justices who last December told a mother of two she didn’t qualify for the medical exception. She didn’t qualify for the healthcare that could protect her ability to have children in the future – the healthcare her doctor said could save her life.

Because Jimmy, John, and Jane didn’t think she was “close enough” to losing her life and her fertility.

I mean, come on. How close is “close enough”? Two minutes? A few hours?

That isn’t justice. That’s political bullsh!t.

And here’s the thing: What happens in Texas matters, because our state has traditionally served as the testing ground for awful laws proliferated throughout the country. Holding extremist Texas justices accountable could be just the message that would-be extremist justices throughout the country need to hear.

You probably heard about that TX Supreme Court case, and I’m guessing your reaction was similar to mine. To put it bluntly, Jimmy, John, and Jane f*cked around with basic freedoms and bodily autonomy.

But Jimmy, John, and Jane are also up for reelection this November.

And we can show them what happens when you f*ck around – you find out.

Today I’m launching a new organization – Find Out PAC – with one goal, and one goal only: Defeat Jimmy, John, and Jane on November 5th. Will you split a donation of $20 or any amount you can right now between Fair Shot PAC and Find Out PAC to help get our work off the ground? [[link removed]]

Until today, Jimmy, John, and Jane thought they were going to skate to re-election to the Texas Supreme Court.

The way I see it, no one deserves a free pass – least of all these three extremists.

So I’m going to do everything in my power to see that they are held accountable for their actions – and to send a message to the entire country that we won’t stand for this, in Texas or anywhere else.

Are you with me?

Please, donate any amount today to Fair Shot PAC and Find Out. [[link removed]]

Thank you so much.
