As you might have seen, we’re gearing up to support Democratic candidates across the state and promote our values through our precinct caucuses, assemblies, and conventions.
I wanted to talk to you about three specific and important roles that you may be interested in.
You can become a Delegate at the Democratic National Convention, a member of the Democratic National Committee, or a Presidential Elector in the 2024 Election. I’ll explain each below.
>> Run to be a DNC Delegate <<
There are 4 different avenues to becoming a Delegate for the Democratic National Convention:
1. District-Level Delegates - a total of 47 District delegates will be elected at the 8 different Congressional District Conventions on April 11th, 2024.
2. At-Large Delegates and Alternates - 16 Delegates and 6 Alternates will be elected at the State Convention on April 13, 2024.
3. Party Leader and Elected Official (PLEO) Delegates - 9 Delegates will be elected at the State Convention on April 13, 2024.
4. Automatic Party Leaders and Elected Officials - includes all members of Congress, DNC Members, and the Governor.

At the State Convention on April 14, 2024, a total of 4 DNC members will be elected.

You’ve probably heard of the Electoral College, which officially elects the President. Well, you can run to be a part of it.
