The NPVIC will effectively “abolish” the Electoral College without amending the Constitution.

States that join the compact agree to award their electoral votes to the candidate who wins the national popular vote.

So far 16 states + DC have signed on, giving us 205 of the 270 electoral votes we need to make the Electoral College as it stands irrelevant.
