Immigrants without coats and wearing flip flops on their feet arrive in freezing downtown Chicago in a snowstorm. That’s exactly what happened this winter when Texas Governor Abbot performed another dangerous political stunt while risking human lives.

Not only did Governor Abbot send asylum seekers to Chicago in a snowstorm, but he also sent them to Los Angeles as the city prepared for incoming Tropical Storm Hillary. He exploits immigrants to gain far-right political points, traumatizing them and violating human rights in the process. Governor Abbot’s actions are inexcusable and must be investigated.
