Ten years ago today, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, protecting those with pre-existing conditions and saving millions of lives.
But Republicans have been trying to repeal the law and throw millions of people off of their health insurance ever since.
Even during a public health crisis, President Trump threatens to overturn the law and put millions of Americans’ health care at risk.
Now more than ever, we cannot forget how much the ACA has helped families across the country — especially during this unprecedented global pandemic.
I mean, can you even imagine 21 million people losing their health coverage right now? Because that’s what will happen if Republicans are successful in their campaign to destroy the law.
Affordable health care for people with pre-existing conditions and other protections under the ACA should be a guarantee, especially in light of this public health crisis. That’s exactly what I’m fighting for and more.
I’m working my heart out to protect our health care and end the GOP’s sabotage tactics, especially during this crisis. If you’re with me, will you sign your name to my petition and help send a strong message back to Washington? This is important.
Americans should never have to worry that their elected leaders — or even the President himself — will pull their health insurance out from under them. Not during a pandemic, not ever.
