"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body."

– Philippians 3:20-21
South Asia
Praise God for a recent rescue operation that freed nine people from slavery at a brick kiln—including children as young as three. We are so grateful these families are now recovering in safety, but we also need your ongoing prayers for the legal aspects of this case. Some local officials are hesitant to file charges because the kiln owner is quite wealthy and powerful. Pray for their courage and commitment to follow all the steps under the law so other families will never be abused.
Africa & Europe
Please pray for a mother and her family in Uganda as they heal from years of domestic violence. Hadassah*, the mother of nine children, experienced years of physical abuse before her children reported the case to the local police, which was eventually referred to IJM Uganda. When the perpetrator saw his family in court ready to testify, he opted to plead guilty and was sentenced to eight months in prison. Hadassah commented that she feels protected by the court and the public justice system. We ask for her recovery and that of her nine children as they move forward in peace.
Latin America
Praise God for the conclusion of a series of trainings with Bolivian police officials. This week, 65 police officers finished a training on how to better serve victims of violence. They learned how to describe trauma and its impact, how to recognize signs and symptoms and how to use effective techniques to help survivors. These officials also learned how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and take care of themselves as they engage with people that have experienced trauma.
Asia Pacific
Please pray for victims of forced scamming in Myanmar undergoing the victim screening process. When individuals are rescued from this fast-growing crime, they must stay in shelters and await several screening tests before returning home. Please pray these individuals will receive fair treatment throughout the process, and that they would find strength and healing when they make it back to their places of origin.
IJM Global Office & Partners
The IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Join us in prayer as we seek to find and empower supporters to engage with their elected officials through in-district meetings from January to March. We are dedicated to making significant strides in advocacy during this election year, aiming to advance legislation addressing the critical issue of online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). Please pray for each of these dedicated individuals and for the crucial conversations they’ll be having with officials in the upcoming months.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them, please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
