Dear Friend,

The momentum for protecting children online is surging!

Yesterday, January 31, 2024, the Senate Judiciary Committee heard from the CEOs of Meta (formerly Facebook), X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, Snap, and Discord regarding the rampant child sexual exploitation occurring on and facilitated by their platforms.

NCOSE assisted the Senate Judiciary Committee in preparing for this hearing and is rallying people to take action, demanding Congress pass legislation to hold these tech companies accountable.

The time for change is NOW. Children have literally died because of these social media platforms.

During the opening of the hearing, parents held up pictures of their children whose lives ended due to sexual exploitation on the social media apps.

Our hearts go out to the courageous parents and survivors present at the hearing, and we hope their witness will convince Congress to pass legislation that would hold Big Tech accountable for the harms they cause.

📣 TAKE ACTION!

The Senate Judiciary Hearing reaffirmed what has been made clear time and time again: Big Tech will NOT prioritize safety of its own volition. Congress must step in! If you have not already, please sign this quick action form, urging Congress to pass crucial child protection bills (you can read more about the bills here).

Take Action!
