John,
I’m thrilled to welcome you to the team that’s going to win back the governor’s office.
My running mate Jacqueline Coleman and I are in this race because under Governor Bevin, Kentucky families are struggling. This governor has tried to rip health care away from hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians, slashed pensions, cut education and repeatedly used his office for personal enrichment. More than ever before, we need to restore the values of honesty, decency, and transparency to the governor’s office.
As Kentucky’s attorney general, I strive to live up to those values every day. My job is to protect Kentuckians -- and I’ve done that by going after the opioid manufacturers and distributors that have flooded our communities with pills (while making massive profits), seeking justice for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and safeguarding students and consumers from scammers.
When Governor Bevin tried to cut our public servants’ pensions, I filed a lawsuit to stop him -- and we won. When a federal judge decided to overturn the entire Affordable Care Act, threatening the health care of hundreds of thousands of Kentuckians, I took action to fight back.
Kentuckians deserve a commonwealth where they can live, work, and thrive. I am running for governor to fully fund public education, create good paying jobs, and work to provide quality, affordable health care for all Kentuckians.
While our current leaders in Frankfort work to enrich themselves and their friends, Jacqueline and I embraced full transparency by releasing several years of our tax returns.
The general election is in full swing, and I’ll keep you informed every step of the way. Will you follow our campaign on social media for the latest updates?
And please, reply to this email at any time to share your views. I want to hear from you.
Best,
Andy
