The Affordable Care Act saved lives. It insured millions of people. And it implemented key protections for people with pre-existing conditions—about 135 million people.

But instead of celebrating the important accomplishments that the ACA brought us, the president of our country is trying to overturn the ACA once again and put insurance companies in charge of our health care.

If he succeeds, millions of people could lose their healthcare — that’s not something any of us can afford.

There’s no doubt: the ACA was revolutionary, and while we have work to do to continue reforming our healthcare system, moving backward is not how to accomplish that.
