Kansas Republican Party Kansas Days Winter Convention Huge Success

The Kansas Republican Party held the 2024 KSGOP Kansas Days Winter Convention in Overland Park last weekend. The event was an engagement and financial success!

I saw people who disagreed in writing, on social media, in emails, in person, who were sitting across from or beside each other having a meaningful and serious conversation, or were laughing at a funny story they shared in common.

For me, this convention was about the opportunity to communicate between Kansas Republicans about important issues we all face. Yes, there were a few obstructionists but the positive vibe at this meeting was unwavering.

The convention was a lot of work and a daunting task to undertake. I want to thank Dakotah Parshall, Kristi Brown, Samantha Parshall, Benee Hudson, Melissa Campbell, Kelly and Johnson County Sheriff Calvin Hayden, and so many others who worked tirelessly for weeks to make this happen.

I also want to thank our sponsors who so generously supported the convention including:

Vess Energy

Mark & Amy Muller honoring “Full Circle”

a non-profit recovery program

Axiom Strategies

Turning Point Action

Numinar

Our Federal elected officials including:

Senator Jerry Moran

Congressman Tracey Mann

Congressman Ron Estes

and Congressman Jake LaTurner

Governor Jeff Colyer, MD

Karen Czrkovich

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach

Kansas Treasurer Steven Johnson

Johnson County Sheriff Calvin Hayden

State Senator Mark Steffen

Tim and Senator Caryn Tyson

KSGOP Elects New National Committeewoman and Re-Elects National Committeeman

The KSGOP elected a new national committeewoman, Wendy Bingesser, and re-elected The national committeeman, Mark Kahrs, at the 2024 Winter State Committee meeting last Saturday. Congratulations to both on their wins and I look forward to working with them advancing conservative Republicanism across Kansas.

I also want to thank Maria Holiday and Dr. Mark Steffen for running in these races as well. Running for these positions takes so much work and comes at a sacrifice of personal time and treasure. Coming up short is hard but I want both of them to know they have moved the needle because of their campaigns.

We as a team have much money to raise and much work to do in getting ready for the Republican National Convention… and we will get started immediately!

2024 KSGOP

Huck Boyd Award

Huck Boyd is a legend in Kansas politics. His considerable influence shaped the political landscape for decades. He was first and foremost a newspaper man as the publisher of the Phillips County Review, yet his voice resonated in the halls of Congress on matters related to rural America. He was an advisor to Senators, Governors and Presidents and he famously recruited Bob Dole to run for Congress in the Big First which launched the career of one of the most influential men to ever serve our nation.

He was a candidate for Governor in 1960 and 1964. From 1967 to 1987, Huck served as Republican National Committeeman for Kansas and brought a voice of reason to major issues facing our country, such as saving small town America and helping to bring physicians to rural communities.

His awards are too numerous to count but he was particularly proud of being named the Kansan of the Year, First Kansan of the Decade and Distinguished Kansan for Citizenship. He was a recipient of the William Allen White Award for Journalism and is in the Kansas Newspaper Hall of Fame.

He was honored in his hometown of Phillipsburg with the construction of the Huck Boyd Community Center by the Huck Boyd Foundation. The 21,000 square foot building includes a 500-seat auditorium for fine arts performances and a state-of-the-art teleconference facility.

A proud graduate of Kansas State University, his impact on the great State of Kansas has been immeasurable.

Comments:

I’ve heard Dave Owen say paraphrasing the Farmers Insurance commercial, “with 65 years of experience in Kansas politics “I know a thing or two because I've seen thing or two. ” and indeed he has.

Dave Owen is the 2024 winner of the KSGOP Huck Boyd Award.

In Case You Forgot

On Groundhog Day, Joe saw his shadow so it's 4 more years of Donald Trump!

This is a weekly reminder that Joe Biden, President of the United States, and his son, Hunter Biden, are liars and kingpins in a crime syndicate ring.

The Biden family has betrayed America, committing the crime of treason.

They must be held accountable.

#NeverForget

The handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal under Joe Biden was widely criticized for its chaotic execution, erasing decades of women rights progress, leaving a global feeling of disillusionment and raising significant concerns about the disastrous impact on regional stability and global security.
