There’s lots of information being shared about contagious illnesses, including COVID-19 and Mpox. It can be overwhelming to keep up as new information becomes available. This can make it hard to understand what choices we should make to keep ourselves and each other from getting sick. The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, and Long-COVID continues to affect many people. After the Public Health Emergency was ended in May 2023, there are fewer ways to track the number of cases.

Mpox is a kind of viral illness that people sometimes call “monkeypox.” Since 2022, there have been more cases of Mpox and there aren’t enough accessible resources for self-advocates to learn about it. That’s why ASAN is holding a webinar to talk about COVID-19 [[link removed]] and Mpox [[link removed]] and how we can keep each other safe on February 15th!

In this webinar, we will talk about:

* What are Mpox and COVID-19?
* Who is the most impacted?
* How do they spread, and how can we protect each other?

This webinar is open to everyone, but we especially want to invite self-advocates and allies to attend!

Register to join us on Thursday, February 15 at 1:00 PM ET. [[link removed]] The webinar will last around 90 minutes. The webinar will be on Zoom and will have CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation). The webinar will also be shared on Youtube after.

If you have any questions or would like to request any additional accommodations such as ASL interpretation, please email [email protected] [[email protected]] by February 10th.
