Proactive Heat Strategy for AZ Workers, Community/Labor Call
National COSH will be hosting a bilingual call on February 2nd at 1PM
GOAL is for labor and community partners in AZ to learn more about:
- what others are doing to help workers secure protection from extreme heat;
- existing multilingual heat safety and heat organizing training resources;
- ongoing opportunities for advocacy (examples: federal heat standard rulemaking update, AZ OSHA heat emphasis enforcement program)
- campaign possibilities for more meaningful protection (examples: Oregon OSHA heat standard, proposed county heat ordinance in Miami-Dade)
- a coordinated heat action during Workers' Memorial Week (April 21-28)
- who else should be driving this conversation ?
|
