Hi John, Happy Friday!
Before you kick off your weekend, we have some exciting updates to share about what’s been going on with Frank and the campaign.
In the district: Frank celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Hammond alongside members of the community. After the event, Frank reaffirmed his commitment to creating a more just and equal society for all.

This week, we finalized our campaign finance reports to the FEC — and thanks to this grassroots team, we were able to finish 2023 with great momentum.
However, our MAGA opponent also submitted his FEC report, and after it was made public for everyone to see, we discovered he had broken a fundraising record for Republican candidates in IN-01. It’s clear: We have a competitive race on our hands.
Speaker Mike Johnson along with other powerful Republicans have endorsed Frank’s opponent, and it’s going to take all of us pitching in to defend IN-01 from the GOP. If you can, click here to help us get a head start on meeting this month’s fundraising goal.
Also in January, Frank filed his candidacy paperwork for re-election!
After making it official, Frank said he’s ready to get to work to make even more progress for Northwest Indiana — including continuing to fight for working families, lower prescription drug prices, and women’s reproductive freedoms.
Lastly, a big announcement: We just hired a campaign manager, Shannon!
With years of experience organizing for Midwest Democrats from local to presidential, we have no doubt she’s the right person to help us defend Frank’s seat. Help us welcome her to the team by leaving a message here:
That’s all for now. Thank you for being a part of our team!
More soon,
— Team Mrvan
