96  A lot has happened this week, and here are some updates and
thoughts.
First and foremost, I hope you’ll join me in continuing to
pray for the families of the three Georgia reservists who lost their
lives in Sunday’s terror attack.
I also hope you’ll join me in
remembering Rep. Richard Smith, who passed away this week. Our thoughts
are with his loved ones as well.
Anti-Semitism Bill Signed
This
week, Georgia sent a message that anti-Semitism has no place in our
state.
I’m proud of Governor Kemp for signing this bill, and grateful
for the hard work of Rep. Esther Panitch, Sen. John Kennedy, and many
others.
Chiefs of Police
This week, we welcomed the Georgia
Association of Chiefs of Police to the Gold Dome.
As a former police
chief myself, I always enjoy the chance to catch up with friends and
leaders who are keeping our communities safe.
In Georgia, we back the
Blue.
“Urgency”
This week, Senator Ossoff put out a statement about
“urgency” when it comes to the border, and negotiations on a border
security bill in the U.S. Senate.
I’m confused — the border has been
a mess for three years. It didn’t become one this month.
Where was
Sen. Ossoff’s “urgency” when the warning signs were obvious, when
Democrats controlled Congress, or when we found out how many people on
the terror watch list were trying to cross?
Don’t fall for
politicians trying to score cheap political points in an election year.
Look at the whole of what they’ve said and done on an issue during their
time in office.
Thanks for your continued support!
