That’s right, millionaires and billionaires aren’t paying their fair share
into Social Security because of a ridiculous tax cap for the
ultra-wealthy. Bernie has a bill to get rid of this tax loophole for the
rich, raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy AND increase Social Security
benefits.

It’s simple: tax the rich, improve the social safety net.

Republicans have been trying to cut Social Security for decades. But it
doesn’t work because it’s a wildly popular program AND we have progressive
champions like Bernie fighting back. Bernie’s been an advocate for
protecting and expanding Social Security since he was elected to Congress
in 1990.

Recently, Republicans have tried to be secretive about their attempts to
cut one of America’s most important social safety net programs — because
they know there will be a huge backlash against the GOP if they gut Social
Security.

Bernie doesn’t have to be secretive like Republicans, because he’s the
voice of the people, and he won’t stop being loud and clear about the
importance of taxing the rich and expanding Social Security.
