Last week Iowa House Republican Jeff Shipley introduced H.J 113 to the House Judiciary Committee intending to remove Civil Rights protections for gender identities and classify gender dysphoria as a disability.

Let me tell you—I was pissed. This is the kind of bullsh*t that we cannot tolerate.

But Iowans answered the call to action. Due to the chorus of public outcries from Iowans like you, IT FAILED IN COMMITTEE TODAY!

People are finally starting to realize that Republicans in the Iowa Senate have gone too far. They are trying to strip our freedoms away one by one, and FINALLY, we can say that we have stopped them in their tracks. That’s all thanks to folks like you.

But we can’t stop now. We need to keep up this momentum going into the November elections. We can do that by continuing to support the pro-freedom Democrats who are challenging Senate Republicans across the state.
