While Jelissa Orcinolo didn?t grow up around firearms and wasn?t exposed to law enforcement in her childhood, hearing about ATF?s mission spoke to her desire to be a part of something special. She turned that desire into an incredible career [ [link removed] ] and is happy she took the chance in joining federal law enforcement.
As Supervisory Special Agent with the Miami Field Division, Jelissa oversees the operation of the Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, she leads coordination efforts between federal, state, and local responses to mass shootings and other major crimes involving firearms.

Even as a young girl, Mary was always interested in law enforcement. Growing up, she watched crime shows and dreamed about having a job that offered an "element of surprise." She first learned about ATF during her time in the private industry after meeting agents working the Atlanta Olympic Park bombing. From there, Mary went on to be an investigative assistant and her career with ATF [ [link removed] ] has continued to blossom.
Mary loves that every workday is different, and each day has its own set of challenges. Mary?s effective organizational skills, as well as her understanding of and dedication to ATF?s mission, make her well-suited to the area supervisor position. She believes her greatest reward is having the opportunity to mentor others as they progress in their careers, ensuring the agency will be in great hands when her time here comes to an end.
