The Career Readiness Program is a comprehensive, paid program designed to prepare participants for success in the building trades unions.
Selected participants will receive a competitive rate of $22 per hour for their participation in monthly Saturday courses and assistance to support their progression into a paid trades program. The curriculum focuses on demystifying the implicit expectations within the industry, transforming them into explicit skills that lead to success.
Participants are required to engage in all modules, each strategically crafted to instill vital skills.
The breakdown of the program includes four modules focusing on organizational skills, communication, building relationships, and developing a meaningful career path in the trades.
The Black Workers Center aims to uplift those on the fringes of society by offering a clear path to high-quality jobs equipped with essential benefits. Our mission is to empower workers and ensure that workers have the resources to take care of home by providing food for their families, securing safe housing, and being able to visit the doctor without going into debt.
