Democrats Vote to Protect Illegal Immigrants Who Drive Drunk From Deportation

Katie Pavlich: Hundreds of Democrats voted Thursday morning to protect illegal immigrants who drink and drive from deportation. And just yesterday, the same Democrats voted to protect illegal immigrants from deportation after committing social security fraud. Meanwhile, thousands of Americans are victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants — including murder and manslaughter (Townhall). House Judiciary GOP: You can’t make this up. Rep. Jerry Nadler thinks we should use your tax dollars to expand public ride-sharing programs INSTEAD of deporting illegal aliens who drive drunk (X). Stephen Miller: Democrat Leader Jeffries and 150 House Dems just voted AGAINST deporting criminal illegal aliens convicted of DRUNK DRIVING. Suburban moms, take note. Democrats think illegal alien trespassers who drink and drive should be immune from deportation. The party of NO BORDERS (X). Jim Jordan: Yesterday, 75% of House Democrats refused to vote to deport illegal aliens who commit social security fraud. Why are Democrats protecting illegal aliens more than our seniors (X)?

Two Democrats Oppose Bill Denying Immigration to Hamas Terrorists
Townhall: The House on Wednesday voted on what could very well be the most common-sense piece of legislation to come across Congress. Under the bill, The No Immigration Benefits for Hamas Terrorists Act, sponsored by Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), terrorists who helped with the October 7 attacks against Israel may not admitted into and may be removed from the United States. The bill came close to passing unanimously, but was prevented from doing so by Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Cori Bush (D-MO) voting against it. Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-IL) voted present (Townhall). Marina Medvin: Question: should we ban Hamas attackers from the U.S.? Everyone: Yes! Rashida Tlaib and Cori Bush: No (X)!

Governor Kathy Hochul Considers Deporting Illegals Who Assaulted NYPD Officers
Why were they even here? Daily Wire: Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) weighed in on the shocking footage that showed multiple illegal immigrants pummeling two NYPD officers last weekend, suggesting that deportation is on the table. Five illegal immigrants were arrested on charges of assault of a police officer after video footage shared by the NYPD showed the officers attempting to arrest one of the illegal immigrants as others kicked and punched the officers in the head. All of the alleged attackers were then released without bail as police search for three more suspects. Hochul was confronted about the attack on Wednesday by a reporter who asked her if the illegal immigrant suspects should be deported. “I think that’s actually something that should be looked at,” Hochul said. “I mean, if someone commits a crime against a police officer in the state of New York and they’re not here legally, it’s definitely worth checking into” (Daily Wire). RNC Research: REPORT: Illegal immigrants accused of attacking NYPD officers show zero remorse after being arrested, and then released without bail (X).

Rep. Ayanna Pressley Claims Walgreens is Racist for Closing Stores in Crime-Ridden Areas
Does she expect them to be a charity? How about stopping the criminals instead of blaming the victims of crime? BizPac Review: Sure, Boston’s progressive policies have made it easy for thieves to rob places like Walgreens blind, but if the drugstore doesn’t continue putting their employees and customers at risk and smile as their merchandise walks out the door, they are racists according to Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.). As BizPac Review reported, community activists attempted to shame Walgreens into keeping its Roxbury area doors open, claiming the company had an “obligation” to the crime-infested community. In 2022, Walgreens closed three of its other Boston stores. On Tuesday, Pressley accused Walgreens of “racial & economic discrimination” (BizPac Review). End Wokeness: Rep. Ayanna Pressley accuses Walgreens of racial discrimination for closing stores in neighborhoods overrun by theft (X).

United States Strikes at Houthi Drone Control Center Destroying 10 Attack Drones
Wall Street Journal: U.S. forces struck targets belonging to Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Thursday, continuing an effort to degrade the Iran-backed group’s military capabilities without triggering a broader war in the region. U.S. Central Command, which is responsible for U.S. military operations in the Middle East, said it struck a Houthi drone ground control station as well as several of the group’s drones after determining they presented an “imminent threat” to merchant vessels and U.S. Navy ships in the region. It said the strike was in self-defense. The strikes come as the U.S. prepares its response to a drone attack Sunday that killed three U.S. service members in Jordan. The enemy drone was launched from Iraq by a militia backed by Tehran and struck a U.S. outpost (Wall Street Journal). BBC: The Houthis regard all Israeli, US and British ships as legitimate targets following Israel’s war on Hamas in Gaza, and US and British targeting of Houthi missile positions in what the two countries say are efforts to protect commerce (BBC).

Oregon Supreme Court Says Republican State Senators Are Ineligible for Re-Election
AP News: The Oregon Supreme Court said Thursday that 10 Republican state senators who staged a record-long walkout last year to stall bills on abortion, transgender health care and gun rights cannot run for reelection. The decision upholds the secretary of state’s decision to disqualify the senators from the ballot under a voter-approved measure aimed at stopping such boycotts. Measure 113, passed by voters in 2022, amended the state constitution to bar lawmakers from reelection if they have more than 10 unexcused absences. (AP News). There are currently only 11 Republicans in the Oregon State Senate. Oregonian: Drafters of Measure 113, which voters overwhelmingly approved in 2022, intended for it to stop walkouts that Republicans, as the minority party in the Legislature, have frequently used (Oregonian). This gives Oregon Republicans all but one month to find new candidates before the March filing deadline for the state’s elections.

Senate Staffer, Partner Who Filmed Sex Tape in Senate Building Evade Punishment
National Review: The Senate staffer who filmed a sex tape inside of the Senate Hart Office Building in December will escape criminal charges, as will his partner, the Capitol Police announced Thursday. Aidan Maese-Czeropski, a 24-year-old former legislative aide to Democratic Senator Ben Cardin, was fired after a recording of the sex act circulated online. Capital Police began an investigation shortly after the Spectator broke the story (National Review). Daily Wire: The statement noted that the staffer, who has since resigned, “exercised his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and refused to talk” to authorities. Additionally, USCP did not close the door on revamping the investigation if new evidence emerges. “For now, we are closing the investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding a sex video that was recorded inside the Hart Senate Office Building on the morning of Wednesday, December 13,” the statement said. “After consulting with federal and local prosecutors, as well as doing a comprehensive investigation and review of possible charges, it was determined that — despite a likely violation of Congressional policy — there is currently no evidence that a crime was committed,” USCP continued (Daily Wire).

President Biden’s Brother Agrees to GOP Subpoena
National Review: President Joe Biden’s brother James Biden has agreed to a transcribed interview with House Republicans in February. The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed James as part of its presidential impeachment inquiry and investigation into Hunter and President Biden. Multiple Biden family members have denied involvement in Hunter’s business dealings, most notably the president himself, who said in 2019 that he “never discussed with my son, or my brother, or anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses, period” National Review). New York Post: Joe Biden joined a meeting in or around March 2017 at DC’s Four Seasons hotel with about 10 CEFC associates — including the firm’s chairman, Ye Jianming, who has since gone missing in his homeland amid corruption allegations there. Walker also testified that the Bidens’ initial $1 million from CEFC was compensation for work performed during the Obama-Biden administration. Bank records acquired by Congress indicate that Joe Biden received payments of $40,000 and $200,000 from his brother after James received the same amounts weeks beforehand from a law firm associated with the Biden family, which Democrats say came from Joe Biden (New York Post).
