Labour must commit to PR in its first 100 days.

Our democracy is broken. We know it. You know it. Everyone knows it.

We need to fix it. And soon. Starting with our voting system.

First Past the Post (FPTP) will never deliver the action we desperately need to get our country back on its feet.

Saving our planet from climate catastrophe. Ending the cost of living crisis. Getting the NHS off its knees. Rejoining the European Union. Public support for all these things is overwhelming, but the government isn’t listening. And it never will, unless we make big structural changes.

The problem is, FPTP works for those in power and their wealthy backers, so they have no motivation to push this change.

As the likely next government, Labour has a historic opportunity to modernise UK democracy and rebuild trust in politics…and we need to make sure they take it.

We are calling on Labour to make a public commitment within their first 100 days in office to implement Proportional Representation (PR).

Doing so will demonstrate their support for a modern democracy that works for everyone, not just the rich and powerful.
