Abortion Pill Reversal has to date saved 5,000 babies from abortions (http://)
Latest statistics show that 5,000+ babies have been saved through the Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) treatment in the US.
According to Lisa Bourne (Managing Editor of Pregnancy Help News and Content Writer for Heartbeat International) writing in Life News ([link removed]) “statistics show that more than 5,000 lives, and counting, have been saved thanks to the Abortion Pill Rescue® Network (APRN), a network of more than 1,400 healthcare professionals, pregnancy medical clinics, and hospitals that provide the APR protocol”.
She says that every day dozens of moms who have taken the chemical abortion pill and have regret reach out to the APRN inquiring about Abortion Pill Reversal, and the APRN helps more than 150 women per month start the Abortion Pill Reversal process. Heartbeat International, the largest network of pregnancy help organisations in the U.S. and globally, manages the APRN.
Meanwhile, recent findings published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research show that there are "no clinically significant adverse events" associated with Abortion Pill Reversal. The results of the research carried out by academics based at two Australian universities contradict the evidence-free claims of pro-abortion campaigners who have sought to undermine the treatment at every opportunity, including lodging a complaint against Irish medic Dr Dermot Kearney with the UK’s General Medical Council that was subsequently dismissed. Dr Kearney who hails from Navan and his colleagues are continuing to do outstanding work saving unborn babies from certain death by assisting mothers who regret taking the abortion pill and seek help to undo its effects.
Social Democrats leader erroneously claims there is “no evidence” to support three-day waiting period (http://)
Deputy Holly Cairns TD
On 16 January, the Irish Examiner reported that Social Democrats leader Holly Cairns recently blasted the government for exhibiting “political cowardice” if it did not remove the three-day wait from the abortion legislation.
The article stated: “The report is now back with Health Minister Stephen Donnelly following the Oireachtas health committee’s consideration that he should bring forward the proposals as a matter of priority.” However, this report failed to mention that the Health Committee’s report noted that individual members had expressed their concerns that sufficient evidence was not conducted or used to justify a removal of the three-day waiting period.
Cairns, TD for Cork South West, also glossed over this aspect of the Health Committee’s report in her call for the three-day waiting period to be removed, as it “isn’t based on any kind of evidence or study.” This is abjectly untrue, as there have been various studies published in peer-reviewed journals which illustrate the positive impact of mandatory waiting periods. These studies show that waiting periods reduce the abortion rate, whilst even having a positive impact on female mental health.
A 2006 article by Jonathan Klick published in Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine found that the existence of mandatory waiting periods reduces female suicide rates by “anywhere between 10 and 30 percent.” Klick’s paper suggests the waiting period allows time for reflection “given the emotionally charged nature of the decision” and therefore helps to mitigate against abortion regret which could be a major source of depression and trauma.
In her comments, Deputy Cairns ignored or was unaware of the large amount of published academic literature which points to the positive impact of mandatory waiting periods. But she said the Three-Year Review found it to be “unnecessary” and “unfair”. However, the Three-Year Review report written by Marie O’Shea exhibited a dearth of research into the issue of mandatory waiting periods – she failed to review the international literature on this subject, which is considerable. Moreover, she failed to consult official statistics issued by the HSE for the initial number of abortion consultations, which, when contrasted with the total number of reported abortions per year as published in the annual reports (which the government suggests are accurate), demonstrate that thousands of women who made an initial abortion appointment didn’t proceed to the final abortion during the years 2019-2023.
To scrap the three-day waiting period, as the vast majority of activist state-funded NGOs and the commentariat are baying for, would amount to political cowardice as it would signal that the government is prepared to rip up its contract with the electorate made before the 2018 referendum on the basis of an immensely flawed and limited report. The Three-Year Review is such poor work it would have been unlikely to have passed a university doctoral assessment committee or the basic rigours of peer-review. However, it is now being used as a prop by ardently pro-abortion politicians in an attempt to railroad an extreme agenda through the Oireachtas.
Biden administration had FBI arrest pro-life father in front of his children (http://)
Paul Vaughn and five others face 11 years in prison for peacefully protesting at abortion clinic
Six pro-life supporters were found guilty on Tuesday after the Biden administration charged them over a peaceful protest at a Tennessee abortion facility in 2021.
Pro-life activists Chet Gallagher, Coleman Boyd, Heather Idoni, Cal Zastrow, Dennis Green, and Paul Vaughn each face up to 11 years in prison following their convictions.
The pro-life activists were accused by the Biden-run DOJ of violating the FACE Act for a protest that took place in a hallway outside the Mount Juliet abortion facility on March 5, 2021.
You can watch the peaceful protest here ([link removed]) and decide for yourself if being sentenced to 11 years in prison is a just and proportionate verdict.
Vaughn told members of the media how the FBI turned up at his home, “guns pointed at the door, banging on the house, yelling and screaming, ‘Open up. FBI,’ that kind of thing. When I opened the door and saw the guns pointed at me, I asked them what they wanted, who they were looking for, and they said they wanted me.”
“I had kids in the yard walking out to get in the car to go to school, I was about to take them to school, and other kids in the house,” he continued. “So seeing that the easiest path to de-escalation was me in handcuffs, I stepped outside and put an end to the ranting and the banging and the yelling.”
After the FBI put him in handcuffs and in the car, he said, his wife came outside. She had been in the back of the house with their 18-month-old baby.
The video footage Vaughn’s wife captured shows FBI agents outside the family’s home. It can be viewed here ([link removed]) .
The heavy handed way the Biden administration conducted itself in this case and the disproportionate and unwarranted sentences passed down for a wholly peaceful protest is just the latest sign of the massive overreach and politically motivated targeting of pro-life supporters currently taking place on President Biden’s watch.
Meanwhile the more than 70 violent attacks - including firebombings - of pro-life pregnancy centres over the past two years in the US has led to no more than a handful of arrests with none of the perpetrators receiving lengthy prison sentences. Next time you see RTÉ presenting Joe Biden as an exemplary defender of justice and human rights, recall the result his administration sought and received in a Nashville courtroom earlier this week.

Humanity Campaign - Action Alert! (http://)

It’s a really important time to approach your local TDs and Senators and urge them to reintroduce some humanity into the debate on abortion. The Three-Year Review, a seriously flawed process which produced a one-sided and extreme report, will be considered by politicians in the autumn. It’s important that we take action now.
We have produced a quick and easy Virtual Postcard for you to sign, which will automatically send an email to your local TDs. Use the button below to navigate into your county on our website and find your constituency.
It’s also important to have meetings with your TDs. These can be as simple as dropping into your local TD’s advice clinic to outline your concerns. Click below to register to lobby your local TDs. Don’t worry – we’ll help you every step of the way with advice on making the appointment to points you might consider raising.
We are heartened by the number of people actively involved and interested in meeting their politicians to express their views. The People Before Profit Bill which regrettably passed at 2nd stage of the Dáil on 31st May must also be countered. Even the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, has said this Bill goes far beyond the recommendations of the Three-Year Review – which are already extreme in their own right.
It is crucial to engage with our politicians and remind them not to overlook the referendum promises. We need to fight to ensure our abortion policy is aimed at reducing the abortion rate.
Please take a moment to get involved in the
Humanity Campaign ([link removed]) . Remember even the smallest effort will make a big difference.
Thank you!

Do you have pro-life material which could be historically relevant? (http://)
We are putting out a call for anyone in possession of any documents, photographs, correspondence, etc. relevant to the Irish pro-life movement throughout the decades. We are particularly keen to receive anything in your possession related to periods such as the 1983 referendum. A comprehensive history of the pro-life movement is yet to be written, but the historians of the future will need primary sources. We are asking for people to get in touch with the Pro Life Campaign (mailto:
[email protected]) if they possess such material (no matter how old or dusty!) to ensure it is preserved now and not lost to the ages.
