At a press conference, Trump read off a script about the coronavirus with "corona" crossed out and replaced by "Chinese," continuing his belligerent refusal to stop referring to it as such.
When questioned whether he considered it racist, he balked, saying, "it's not racist at all."
This ignores the numerous Asian American leaders, including Rep. Ted Lieu, who have pointed out that he's stoking anti-Asian racism and firing up his base during a crisis. And now CNN is reporting that these fears are coming true, as anti-Asian assaults and attacks are on the rise across the country, "spreading faster than coronavirus."
But according to a new ABC News-Ipsos poll, 55 percent of Americans approve of Trump's handling of the crisis -- that's 55 percent of Americans who are okay with his xenophobic, racist attacks at the expense of fellow Americans. Given the evolving dynamics, we'd like to know where you stand:
