Introducing the third edition of the Working for Women report, where we give you the latest statistics on women and the workplace
Friend,
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the third edition of the Working for Women report. At the Center for Economic Opportunity, we champion, develop, and advocate for common-sense policy solutions, grounded in data, to expand workplace choice, flexibility, freedom, and opportunity. The Working for Women report is one way we are able to summarize, analyze, and present helpful data and solutions to the issues women are currently facing in the workplace.

Over the past four years, work has changed dramatically for many women. The decisions they grapple with have changed. For some, it’s not where to work, it’s if they should work. For others, it’s not whether to pursue a promotion, it’s whether or not a job offers a hybrid or fully remote workplace.

Flexibility is the top priority for millions of women, but given the rising costs of everything from housing to food, financial security and affordability are also urgent considerations. Women are struggling to make ends meet and want to know that there are plenty of job opportunities out there to meet their goals.

Women need policies that maximize flexibility and create diverse work opportunities. Working for Women report advances solutions that place women—not government—in the driver’s seat to build the careers and lives that they want for themselves and their families.
