Friends,
Washington hospitals are short on basic medical supplies. Health care professionals are being asked to make their own masks.
This is unacceptable.
I’m proud my office was recently able to send $3.2 million to a South Sound hospital to help them in this critical time.
The money comes from a major lawsuit my office won against several of the largest foreign-owned corporations in the world. These manufacturers engaged in a price-fixing conspiracy for years, resulting in unfair, higher prices on computer monitors and televisions.
Hospitals and other health care providers that were harmed due to the price-fixing conspiracy are being made whole at a critical time.
But I wish I could do more, because it’s not enough.
My family and I are deeply grateful for the health care workers on the front lines of this emergency.
Washingtonians are doing all we can, but the federal government must help.
Sincerely,
Bob
